Our Response to Covid-19

COVID-19 Re-opening Procedure
Keeping you and our staff safe:

The Klub Gymnastics is committed to the health and safety of our families and staff. The policies and procedures listed below reflect current requirements and best practices. We will adjust our safety procedures as needed and in accordance with the guidance of officials.

Facility

  • We have increased our daily cleaning and disinfecting frequency and standards.
  • All surfaces will be sanitized utilizing CDC and EPA approved products.
  • Each class zone will be cleaned and disinfected between classes – this includes each piece of equipment on the gym floor.
  • During our initial reopening phase, gymnasts will not be allowed to jump into the loose foam pit.
    • Sanitized mats will be placed over the loose foam for soft landings.
  • We have increased hand sanitizer stations throughout the gym.
  • Drinking fountains will not be available. However, our “no-touch” water bottle refill station will still be available for use.
  • Designated entrance and exit to reduce congestion – entrance and exit doors will be propped open to reduce door handle use.
  • Paper towels have been installed in all restrooms; automatic hand dryers will be temporarily disabled.
  • Signage has been set out to direct the flow of traffic coming in and out of the building.
  • Markers have been placed 6ft apart on our seating areas to indicating where to sit.

Before You Arrive

  • Be prepared to park your car – our porte-cochere drive-thru will not be available for drop-offs.
  • Every gymnast must be escorted by their guardian prior to entering the building.
  • To limit the number of people in TKG, we are only allowing one (1) parent and their gymnast to enter the building. Please do not bring any additional siblings or nonparticipating children.
  • Check you and your child at home for symptoms (per the CDC, symptoms include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell).
  • If anyone in your household is sick, please stay home.
  • Encourage your child to use your bathroom at home before you come in to reduce restroom traffic.
  • Pack and bring your own water bottle. Drinking fountains will not be available. However, our “no-touch” water bottle refill station will still be available for use.
  • Parents are required to bring a face mask that must be worn at all times on TKG premises.
  • Athletes / Gymnasts are required to wear masks at all times, except when they are performing skills on an apparatus while still maintaining social distancing.

Arrival

  • Families are asked to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of class.
  • The only entrance into the building is through our porte-cochere.
    • One (1) parent MUST wait in line with their gymnast (markers placed 6ft apart will be outlined) prior to entering the building for:
      • Temperature screening
      • Hand sanitation
      • Verbal health questionnaire
      • Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 °F and above will be asked to leave.
  • Once parent and child are cleared, they will be allowed inside and directed to their designated zone.
    • Designated color-coded zones will be used to practice social distancing.
    • Each class will have its own zone with a parent viewing area with marked seating spaced 6ft apart.
    • Parents and gymnasts are to remain within their zoned area for the duration of the class.
  • If you are planning on leaving after your child has been cleared for class, you will be asked to pick them up at our designated pick-up zone located under the awning in our back parking lot.
  • At this time we will not be offering our valet parking.

Class Time

  • Class times have been altered to have staggered start and end times to avoid congestion and provide for social distancing.
  • During our initial reopening phase, we will only open for ages 5 and above.
    • We will be limiting the number of participants to 6 in each class.
  • During our initial reopening phase, gymnasts will not be allowed to jump into the loose foam pit.
    • Sanitized mats will be placed over the loose foam for soft landings.
  • Koaches will invite gymnasts onto the gym floor when they’re ready to start class.
  • Koaches will use station-based lesson plans to maintain distancing between gymnasts and other classes.
  • Koaches will provide appropriate personal guidance for each gymnast.
  • Koaches will limit direct contact with gymnasts.
    • During our initial reopening phase, there will be no spotting unless absolutely necessary for the safety of your child.
  • Gymnasts will be required to sanitize their hands at the end of class.

Exiting Building/Pick-up

  • Once dismissed, parent and child will be directed to exit through the designated door at the back of our building.
    • Be sure to take all your personal belongings with you. There will be no lost and found.
    • Please leave promptly and limit socialization.
