The Four Peas program provides an educational environment where children can experience active and balanced learning, predictable structure, positive peer associations, and successful independence from parents. Many Four Peas are preparing for kindergarten, and we know that children learn best when they are moving. Their cognitive development is growing by leaps and bounds and their increasing coordination and strength makes them able to perform many new skills. They are also becoming more proficient with familiar skills such as doing forward rolls on the floor, straightening their legs in handstands and cartwheels, and sequencing multiple skills in a row.
Your child will gain an understanding of synchronizing mind and body through the use of obstacle courses and technique training. The goal of this class is for the student to not only learn the technique of gymnastics but also to walk away with more confidence after experiencing successful situations in the gym. Children with experience in this class are able to apply what they learn to other sports and athletic environments. |
